INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

I use a relational psychodynamic approach, which means that we will look at how early relationships and current interactions affect your thoughts, feelings, and daily experiences. As pain can arise in our contact with others, healing can occur through healthy relationships as well. 

ANXIETY

There is a good level of anxiety that makes us feel excited and eager to achieve. However, when it turns to fear and excessive worrying, it can be paralyzing. Therapy can help you identify and confront these anxieties in order to return to an optimal level.

CULTURAL IDENTITY

As an Asian American woman of color from an immigrant family, I understand the importance of examining my self and experiences through the lens of these identities. I will honor your cultural contexts whether they are a source of pride or marginalization in understanding your story. 

RELATIONSHIPS

When we have secure and supportive relationships, we are more likely to take risks and pursue what we want in our lives. I will help you identify what a healthy relationship means to you and how to break less healthy relational patterns. 

MOTIVATION

We can lose motivation in some areas of our lives for various reasons. Through talk therapy, I can help you identify your values, goals, and inspirations to re-engage you with old or new passions in life. 

DEPRESSION

Feelings of sadness that happen more often than not can make us feel hopeless, numb, irritable, and unable to enjoy life. Therapy can help you understand what brought you here and take steps to feel like yourself again.

STRESS AND TRAUMA

When we have experienced traumas however big or small, we can bring that pain into our new experiences in unhealthy ways. I will explore your traumas with you with sensitivity to understand how they may still affect you now.

LIFE TRANSITIONS

Adjusting to life phases can be difficult, particularly if you do not know what your next step will be. Through talk therapy, I will compassionately walk through these changes with you and help ease the stress of the next unknown in your life.

CAREER/WORK STRESS

We spend much of our lives in the work space, and it can be a significant source of stress whether they be organizational/systemic issues, conflicts with supervisors or coworkers, or job dissatisfaction. I can help you problem-solve through these difficulties. 

OPPRESSION

The problem isn't always you. Whether you know or suspect that you are experiencing mistreatment or

"-ism" due to your race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, social class, ability, body weight/appearance, etc., let's talk about it! Process, heal, challenge/fight.
